- Ladies Ministries -
"Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works
praise her in the gates." Proverbs 31:31
Mission Statement:
To encourage spiritual growth, personal development and leadership among women; and to contribute to the general welfare of
the home, church, community and world.
What would any church do without "Women in Ministry?"
Our women are involved in getting the job done for the Lord. We participate in all the state and national programs; giving monthly to our National Missions, Home for Children, and Home Mission projects. We enjoy participating in the ministry to the military as well as adopting a young person from the Home for Children remembering them at Easter, Christmas, and on birthdays.
We have monthly women's meetings (usually the third Monday of each month) with various themes, decorations, door prizes, guest speakers, dramas and a variety of program ideas. The ladies spearhead the annual Christmas banquet and Calendar parties. The mother/daughter banquet is a special time in May and is a highlight of our year. The mother/daughter choir and handbells compliment our special Mother's Day services. Overnight retreats are a blessing as well as occassional day trips. Our widows are blessed with complimentary teas and gifts. The annual Fall bazaar is a big fund raiser and attracts the community.
We have four girls clubs (ages 6-13) who meet every Wednesday night. They are being trained to become refined Christian young ladies, equipped to train others and carry on the mission of the church.
The Food Bank is a great arm of outreach. We bless many needy families in the church and community through our food pantry.
We encourage all women to participate in Bible studies, prayer chains and the various avenues of service offered by our women's ministries.
